The weather app on my phone tells fibs. All week, it’s said we were supposed to get snow this morning. Instead, I woke up to a rainy, fairly gloomy day – and was satisfied with that, since I’m not a fan of snow.
Then I saw my friend Mike’s Facebook post: a picture of his apartment complex covered in snow. He lives about 45 minutes east of us, so I thought maybe we’d just lucked out and we’d only get rain.
No such luck! I went to get my coat to walk to the store and saw big, fat, fluffy snowflakes coming down. The neighbor’s roof was already covered!
Luckily, I was prepared thanks to my handy cowl.
On another note, I need to shave. And lose weight.
But, once again, I digress. So I trudged off the the store. I tried to get pictures of the snow coming down, but those pesky snowflakes just didn’t want to sit still long enough to take a decent picture.
So, no trip to the yarn store (I wasn’t going to buy anything, but I did want to look around so I could get ideas for my next few projects). But that’s okay. Rocco, Perry, and I will be nice and warm inside the house, snuggled up watching reruns on TV Land and enjoying the view of the snow from the back door.
Until next time…
