Let the end begin…

This weekend has been a busy one, though I can’t say I’m surprised by that.  With a major move happening in 8 days I figure I’ll be running all-out until next Monday.

I have what feels like a thousand things to do at work, so I came home Friday and worked for a bit, then went into work again on Saturday.  That’s okay, though, because I did get some very critical items for a move before I left campus: boxes.

Poor Colonel Beauregard didn’t know what to think about having all those boxes in his trunk.  He behaved admirably on the drive home, though.  And, looking at this picture again, he needs a bath.  I’ll add that to the never-ending to-do list.

Chad and Frank got home from Charleston saturday (shout-out to my faux-bro Jeremy for graduation from Marine boot camp!) and Keith decided to go all-out on dinner with pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans.  I’ve had a lot of fun with Keith at the house over the past few weeks, and it was nice to have friends around for an evening at home.  I’m going to miss times like this with old friends on a regular basis.

Sadly, though, duty called.  Today, I emptied out Colonel Beauregard’s trunk and started packing.  I know everyone says this when moving, but seriously… where does all this crap come from?  I threw out two bags of trash going through the office and I haven’t even finished the room!  I did make good progress, though.

And, yes, I made a mess in the process.  It’ll be cleaned up as I pack, though.  It has to go somewhere, right?

So, a lot more to do this coming week but I’m looking forward to getting settled in Boston!  🙂
